FeedbakBWR 0 Posted May 8, 2020 Posted May 8, 2020 I changed the SSL port to a non-standard port and use DDNS with SSL to point to my server, I have filled in the external domain part as well. The issue is, they get the invitation, see my server listed when they log in, but cannot connect. The problem is that it doesn't add it with the correct port, is this expected behaviour? I just simply have them delete it and re-add using the correct port. All external connections require SSL.
Luke 42092 Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 Hi there, does your emby server dashboard display the correct remote address?
Luke 42092 Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 Did you make the change before or after inviting them? Not that it should matter.
FeedbakBWR 0 Posted May 9, 2020 Author Posted May 9, 2020 Made the change before, restarted the server first too I believe.
Luke 42092 Posted May 10, 2020 Posted May 10, 2020 The problem is that it doesn't add it with the correct port, How did you determine this?
FeedbakBWR 0 Posted May 10, 2020 Author Posted May 10, 2020 When they got the invitation it looked like it went to the correct domain but wouldn't connect. I had them re-add with the correct port and it worked. It showed my correct server name so I assumed it was the wrong port, that may have been an incorrect assumption. I am going to add someone else in the coming days which should give me a definitive answer. I appreciate your replies.
darkassassin07 658 Posted May 10, 2020 Posted May 10, 2020 On the dashboard of your server 'Remote (WAN) access:' should display the exact address used to connect including http/https and the port number. If not, these can be adjusted under the 'Network' settings on the left side-bar of the server dash: 'Public http(s) port number:' And 'Secure connection mode:'
