Brendon 119 Posted May 8, 2020 Posted May 8, 2020 (edited) Not sure whats going on here but really need some help. I restarted emby after a library scan had been stuck at 93% for hours and after the restart emby came back up and i was still logged in but admin control seems to be gone. Logged into the actual server to check there and its the same, several restarts have changed nothing. Any ideas please? EDIT: I have just gone into config/users and check my account admin is marked as true, which it was. I changed a hidden test user i have to admin true and it gives no access to admin menu either. Luke 42078 Posted May 8, 2020 Posted May 8, 2020 Hi there, can you please attach the emby server log? Thanks.
Brendon 119 Posted May 8, 2020 Author Posted May 8, 2020 (edited) Here you go @@Luke ...i just tried a reinstall over the top that didnt help at all mate so added the entire log folder to dropbox as i wasn't sure how far back you will need.https://www.dropbox.com/sh/hamlhutrmkveicj/AAAahnluZhLdbjQSkuH1I67Ta?dl=0As i said, have checked user policies and they are correct, tried an install over the top and that didn't help, tried on chrome, firefox and android all the same no admin menu. Weirdly on the browser when i go to dashboard i can see it appear and dissappear very quicky. Also the scan library task that i mentioned was stuck at 93% is now stuck at 0% and has been for a couple of hrs now. Edited May 8, 2020 by Brendon
Happy2Play 9780 Posted May 8, 2020 Posted May 8, 2020 Have you restarted the entire machine? Looking at the current embyserver.txt, the database is locked which usually means multiple instances of Emby trying to run. 2020-05-08 12:46:59.166 Error HttpServer: Error processing request *** Error Report *** Version: 4.4.2.0 Command line: C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system\EmbyServer.dll Operating system: Microsoft Windows NT 6.2.9200.0 64-Bit OS: True 64-Bit Process: True User Interactive: True Runtime: file:///C:/Users/Administrator/AppData/Roaming/Emby-Server/system/System.Private.CoreLib.dll System.Environment.Version: 3.1.3 Processor count: 4 Program data path: C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata Application directory: C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system SQLitePCL.pretty.SQLiteException: Busy: database is locked - PRAGMA journal_mode SQLitePCL.pretty.SQLiteException: Exception of type 'SQLitePCL.pretty.SQLiteException' was thrown. at SQLitePCL.pretty.SQLiteDatabaseConnection.PrepareStatement(String sql, String& tail) at SQLitePCL.pretty.DatabaseConnection.PrepareStatement(IDatabaseConnection This, String sql) at Emby.Sqlite.BaseSqliteRepository.CreateConnection(Boolean isReadOnly) at Emby.Server.Sync.SyncRepository.GetJobs(SyncJobQuery query) at Emby.Server.Sync.SyncJobProcessor.EnsureSyncJobItems(String targetId, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at Emby.Server.Sync.SyncManager.GetReadySyncItemsInternal(String targetId, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at Emby.Server.Sync.SyncManager.GetReadySyncItems(String targetId, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at Emby.Server.Sync.Api.SyncService.Get(GetReadySyncItems request) at Emby.Server.Implementations.Services.ServiceController.GetTaskResult(Task task) at Emby.Server.Implementations.Services.ServiceHandler.ProcessRequestAsync(HttpListenerHost appHost, IRequest httpReq, IResponse httpRes, RestPath restPath, String responseContentType, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at Emby.Server.Implementations.HttpServer.HttpListenerHost.RequestHandler(IRequest httpReq, ReadOnlyMemory`1 urlString, ReadOnlyMemory`1 localPath, CancellationToken cancellationToken) Source: SQLitePCL.pretty TargetSite: SQLitePCL.pretty.IStatement PrepareStatement(System.String, System.String ByRef)

Brendon 119 Posted May 8, 2020 Author Posted May 8, 2020 @@Luke @@Happy2Play now that work has finished and i could play around some more i found what caused the problem just not sure on why.I noticed that i could play movies but not tv shows, now i run 2 servers one of which is nothing more than a hdd slave, all my tv shows are on the slave so i started looking in that direction (didn't think of it at all earlier as it doesnt have emby running on that one). Weirdly i could remote connect to it but couldn't access the shared folders from another machine, so as we always do first up i rebooted it, after that i could access the shared folders again and the emby admin section came back.I have no idea why my slave server did that but i will investigate and hopefully this info will help you guys with why emby locked up like that when losing access to the slave drives.
