annisman 13 Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 Switched from Win7/WMC to Emby theatre recently and I've noticed quite a drop in image quality for the backdrop screen saver. Did WMC do it differently ? What am I missing here ? There's no settings available to change, am I stuck with these lower res images ?
annisman 13 Posted May 8, 2020 Author Posted May 8, 2020 I will try, in the meantime can you tell me does the Emby theatre screen saver use the exact same images as the Emby for WMC one ?
Maisy 37 Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 I just got this from my Emby Theater Screensaver (Print Screen button, pasted into Photoshop and saved as a PNG) it's beautiful on my 4k 49" screen, Win 10 Pro.
annisman 13 Posted May 15, 2020 Author Posted May 15, 2020 Some of the pictures in the screensaver are really nice, but some of them are garbage. I could be wrong, we'll have to wait for one of the developers to answer me, but I think WMC did it differently, I think they only used one image per movie but Emby theater seems to draw from a larger pool of images. All my backdrops are 1080p resolution, so I don't know why some of them look so garbage 1
Luke 42078 Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 We only use the first (primary) backdrop for any given movie. 1
annisman 13 Posted May 15, 2020 Author Posted May 15, 2020 So @@Luke is there a way to organize the backdrops so that you can decide exactly which one is displayed ?
Luke 42078 Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 Yes, using the image editor in the web interface you can re-order them.
annisman 13 Posted May 15, 2020 Author Posted May 15, 2020 @@Luke is this where you go to edit it ? Also, in the picture, is the red arrow pointing towards the 'primary' backdrop ?
annisman 13 Posted May 15, 2020 Author Posted May 15, 2020 All right so I spent a few minutes watching the Emby screen saver and one movie came up twice, the backdrop used was different the second time around, how is this possible if there can only be one backdrop set to primary?
Luke 42078 Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 I'm not sure, we'd have to go over an example. Thanks.
annisman 13 Posted May 15, 2020 Author Posted May 15, 2020 I'm not sure how I could give you a better example, I saw one image on my screen and then a few minutes later and entirely different image both for the same movie.
