Hi,

I have a TV show (documentary miniseries) not showing up in Emby.

The show can be found on both in IMDB (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0426688/?ref_=ttep_ep_tt) and TVDB (https://thetvdb.com/series/the-first-world-war).

The naming structure of the episodes is correct as far as I can tell:

The First World War (2003).S01E01.To Arms

The First World War (2003).S01E02.Under the Eagle

etc.

Is there any way I can point Emby to either the IMDB or TVDB ID number in some way?

Thank you!

On the three-dot menu for the show or individual episode there is an item "Identify".

Use this to enter any known ID numbers:

PS - I'd also replace the dots around the snnenn in your file names with spaces, which might be all you need to do.

I am aware of this method but that is not a solution to my problem. The show is not showing up at all and therefore there is no way to use the three dot menu

What is your folder structure?  Emby's auto detection system can be problematic for items without season folders.

If you go to the Folders tab you see your missing media correct?

It does not show in the folders tab either.

The map structure is: The First World War (2003) > Season 1

Also tried without the Season 1 folder with the episodes directly in the main folder. Still nothing.

It works now. I removed the (2003) and it was found.

Thanks for the suggestions though!

I can see that being a auto identification issue, but that shouldn't have prevented it from displaying in the UI.

For series I generally look them up on TVDB and then bulk name the files to conform exactly with the name used there.  It saves a lot of grief.
