Krazee 0 Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 Hey everyone Long time Emby user and have really been enjoying it I however have some issues and was wondering if I could get assistance I have tried googling my questions to no avail I moved over from Plex And what Plex was able to "index" all my shows with no issue With Emby it's a hit or miss situation I usually just download the files and have the download manager place it into the root TV shows folder with all the other media However with Emby it won't "index" (Find metadata, etc.) If the show isn't in a folder for that series For instance if the show is like this then Emby finds all metadata with no issues If it's like this then Emby won't find any metadata The show does pop up in my Emby TV library there just isn't any images and metadata I have tweaked the library settings and tried nfo, xml, file renamers, etc. The file must be inside a series folder for it get "indexed" I think it's an issue with the extra stuff in the folder title name At the moment I've been using the identify feature Any help would be appreciated
rechigo 364 Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 That's definitely not a correct naming structure A typical TV naming structure would be: Show Name (Year) -> Season X -> ShowName SxxExx.ext https://support.emby.media/support/solutions/articles/44001159110-tv-naming Sent from my Galaxy S10
Krazee 0 Posted May 6, 2020 Author Posted May 6, 2020 (edited) I see that the naming structure is incorrect However is there now possible way of doing this without having to make each series a specific folder? I basically just get content, watch it, delete it and repeat Having to make each show a specific folder then move each one manually kinda defeats the purpose of having a media server I have set up Sonarr but still can't get it work Thanks for the assistance anyway Edited May 6, 2020 by Krazee
Solution Luke 42081 Posted May 7, 2020 Solution Posted May 7, 2020 We currently require series folders. We plan to be able to accommodate what you're doing in the future but we're not quite there yet. 2

Thanks for letting me know! At least it's planned for a future release Will try and figure out how to use Sonarr to auto make the series folders and kinda automate it a bit Anyway thanks for the help
