JustinLu 1 Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 i am running server 4.4.2 and EMBY Theater on windows 10. just wondering does emby theater support HDR playback? i have a HDR monitor. do I need to turn on windows HDR?

So then if you have a large mix of movies, you would have to go into windows setting each time and turn it on and off, correct? That's not good. All the other media players out there, will tell you to leave windows HDR off (because it sucks, LOL) and the player takes care of every thing. IE when I was using DVDFab player, if I watched a non HDR movie the TV would not be in HDR mode. When I played a HDR movie, the TV would be switched by the player to HDR mode. So what are you guys doing different? Will non HDR movies look correct?
