pmac 143 Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 ...at least that's the only format I've found so far that I'm having issues with. Unfortunately that's the format that a lot of my shows are in, and they all worked in the past (I've even gone back to try and rewatch episodes that I know used to work, and they're no longer working); now when I try to play them I just get a spinning circle in the center of the screen indefinitely. I can watch all of these shows without issues using the web app, it seems to only be ET that's affected. Everything in the video section is set to AUTO, audio is set to 5.1 and passthrough enabled. I've attached ET and server logs, please let me know if there's anything else you need. embyserver.txt theater-63724142854.txt
JoshuaAJones 68 Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 (edited) See if the video is transcoding. This new version of ET seems to want to transcode everything on my system, even though the server and ET are on the same HTPC. I switched from Auto to 4K-120MB in Video and 2MB in Audio. It started Direct Playing again and passing the audio through to my receiver. Edit: I just updated to 3.0.11 (which did not auto-update for me) and Auto seems to work now. But, the changes above should work, if needed. Edited May 5, 2020 by JoshuaAJones

pmac 143 Posted May 6, 2020 Author Posted May 6, 2020 I did some testing, and it seems the only way I can get these titles to play is to set home network video quality to 144p and play the title for a second, and then switching back to auto works. The issue is that I have to do this for every episode, otherwise I get the same issue as before. Again, this only seems to happen with Dolby Digital+ 6CH MKV's; any idea's what might cause this @@Luke? It's never happened in the past.
