fyutins 4 Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 Hello, I have 2 TV Shows libraries (one for english version and another for french version). It have always been working, but today after trying to add another version of One Piece, I've encountered some issues. First thing I tried was to add some files (not all because One Piece has more than 900 episodes) because I wanted to test out if Emby was able to recognize absolute order episode naming. At first glance, it was working and it created missing episodes which is normal because I set up my library to do so. So, I decided to add all my episodes to the library folder and by the same time I changed the Aired Order to Absolute Order. At this moment I could see all my episodes but Emby was still showing the missing episodes from the Aired Order. For example Emby was showing a missing episode for S015E01 (which is episode 517 in Absolute Order) and at the same time showing the right episode 517 with the good metadata (artwork, description, ...) I thought it was a problem with my files naming. It was : "One Piece/One Piece - 517 VOSTFR.mp4". So I decided to use Sonarr to rename all my files within season folder and then use Aired Order instead of Absolute Order. My files naming now are like: "One Piece/Season 15/One Piece - S15E01 (517) - [HDTV-720P][AAC 2.0][X264].mp4" After renaming my files, I did a new file scan and now here is my problem. There are some random episodes (half of them) that showed as "Missing" but if I look into details, Emby shows 2 versions of the episode. The "Missing" version and my real file that is correctly scraped. Like you can see on the screenshot, the missing episode "Episode 5" has no metadata or nothing, I don't know why it's still there. Now if I split the versions apart, it fix the problem, but I don't want to do it manually for more than 400 episodes. So, do you have any idea why this is happening ? Or is there any possibility to clear all Missing episodes or clear all metadata for this specific serie ? I'm sorry I deleted my logs by mistake, but if needed I could try to reproduce the bug and give you a log file. Thank you in advance and have a good day
Luke 42093 Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 Hi there, have you enabled the missing episodes feature on your TV library?
fyutins 4 Posted May 3, 2020 Author Posted May 3, 2020 I had the feature enabled, but I turned it off today after I found out this problem.
Luke 42093 Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 Ok, can you try running a library scan after doing that?
fyutins 4 Posted May 3, 2020 Author Posted May 3, 2020 I tried both library scan with the feature on and off, and the missing episodes are still there
fyutins 4 Posted May 3, 2020 Author Posted May 3, 2020 I guess the problem comes with the Absolute Order. I also use it for Detective Conan and when a new episode is aired, a new "Missing" episode is created. Then, when I add the video file to the library the episode is added, but the "Missing" episode still persist and is not deleted. I think when Emby add a new episode (for example 971), it checks the corresponding "Missing" episode with number 971 but forget to check the episode S28E07 that correspond to it.
fyutins 4 Posted May 4, 2020 Author Posted May 4, 2020 Ok, I didn't do anything since then and everything seems to be fine now. It's strange because nothing was happening in the logs, but that's cool everything is working. Thanks for your time, and sorry to have bothering you
