RXP 0 Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 I have 3 Servers that come on depending on what I'm watching. With Plex I can browse my entire collection and if the file is offline, I can manually wake on LAN the server it's on. With MediaBrowser3, soon as the files are offline it removes them from the library. Is there anyway not to remove deleted media from the library? As my media isn't actually deleted just offline.
Luke 42079 Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Hi there, This is actually not by design and another user has reported the same issue. We'll have it fixed for the next server release. Thanks.
RXP 0 Posted August 24, 2014 Author Posted August 24, 2014 Hi Guys, Has this been fixed in the latest beta release? Thanks,
RXP 0 Posted September 27, 2014 Author Posted September 27, 2014 Just bumping this, noticed the behaviour today - rescanning my entire library as I switched on my server that's off on weekdays
RXP 0 Posted December 21, 2014 Author Posted December 21, 2014 Anyone? This is still happening on the latest release.
tarnalcock 4 Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I would like to add to this. My media is on a removable hard drive. I have two Emby servers (one at home one at work). Work is Windows and home is OS X. Both use the removable drive for media paths. How can I ensure that if the server does a library refresh, that it will not freak out when the drive is not present (media is essentially missing but not as I just need to reconnect the drive).

It is currently being worked on the current Dev release cycle. http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/25518-305738/?p=249154
