SamuelWinsor 12 Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 Hi all. This is one that may not be an Emby problem as much as a Windows problem, but here goes. After editing my preferences to prevent these image types being fetched, I am attempting to mass delete all backdrops and logo/clear logo image files from my computer so I can refresh/rescan libraries to display only poster and a thumb/landscape image. This has worked for a huge section of my library, but a significant number of films still have the backdrop/logo present. No matter what I do, I cannot manually locate or successfully search for these image files in the Emby server app data folder/sub folders. Interestingly though, if I manually delete an image from within the server app itself, or even just open the images to view them from the film summary page, I can then locate the same image file locally. Has anyone else ever experienced something like this, or can think of a trick I’m just overlooking? I’m not great with computers, so it wouldn’t surprise me. Thanks in advance.
Luke 42080 Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 Hi, they're probably under the server's metadata folder so I would do a recursive search under there.
SamuelWinsor 12 Posted April 28, 2020 Author Posted April 28, 2020 Hey Luke, I should’ve been more specific, sorry. I’ve done both manual and Explorer searches on all the sub folders in the servers program data, which includes the metadata folder. Pouring through the metadata folder or running a search has been fruitless, but then randomly it’ll pick some backdrop.jpg files up it wouldn’t before. The inconsistency is what’s baffling me. Is there anything that Emby server may be contributing to this that you might know of?
Luke 42080 Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 No, I guess we'd have to look at a specific example then. Thanks.
Happy2Play 9782 Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 Or make a copy of your library.db and explore the MediaItems table, filter a specific item by type and Path or Name column, then scroll over to the Images column and see where the said images are located. example showing my images with media open database go to mediaitems table sorted to type 5 for movies went to path and filtered "furious" went to images column see all image paths for this item Z:\ServerFolders\Videos\Movies\Fast & Furious Collection\Fast & Furious 6 (2013)\folder.jpg*635709599862115540*Primary*0*0*null|Z:\ServerFolders\Videos\Movies\Fast & Furious Collection\Fast & Furious 6 (2013)\clearart.png*635709599846646062*Art*0*0*null|Z:\ServerFolders\Videos\Movies\Fast & Furious Collection\Fast & Furious 6 (2013)\banner.jpg*635709599859302885*Banner*0*0*null|Z:\ServerFolders\Videos\Movies\Fast & Furious Collection\Fast & Furious 6 (2013)\disc.png*635709599858209124*Disc*0*0*null|Z:\ServerFolders\Videos\Movies\Fast & Furious Collection\Fast & Furious 6 (2013)\logo.png*635709599848677395*Logo*0*0*null|Z:\ServerFolders\Videos\Movies\Fast & Furious Collection\Fast & Furious 6 (2013)\landscape.jpg*635462249029651478*Thumb*0*0*null|Z:\ServerFolders\Videos\Movies\Fast & Furious Collection\Fast & Furious 6 (2013)\backdrop.jpg*635710239598745954*Backdrop*0*0*null|Z:\ServerFolders\Videos\Movies\Fast & Furious Collection\Fast & Furious 6 (2013)\backdrop1.jpg*635710239608105774*Backdrop*0*0*null|Z:\ServerFolders\Videos\Movies\Fast & Furious Collection\Fast & Furious 6 (2013)\backdrop2.jpg*635710239611693705*Backdrop*0*0*null|Z:\ServerFolders\Videos\Movies\Fast & Furious Collection\Fast & Furious 6 (2013)\backdrop3.jpg*635710239617933585*Backdrop*0*0*null|Z:\ServerFolders\Videos\Movies\Fast & Furious Collection\Fast & Furious 6 (2013)\backdrop4.jpg*635710239620117543*Backdrop*0*0*null|Z:\ServerFolders\Videos\Movies\Fast & Furious Collection\Fast & Furious 6 (2013)\backdrop5.jpg*635710239622301501*Backdrop*0*0*null
