Guest Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 (edited) Since last Saturday, that is, three days ago, I worked on the organization of film collections, adding each one of the films present in my various film menus (subtitled, dubbed, cult, releases, hd etc). So in each film that I identified as being in a collection, I added it to the existing collection or created a new collection. In total, I believe that some 300 collections were created, however, (this is not the first time this has happened) I noticed two problems, and I would like to know if it is something that is easily corrected by the embyserver team or if I did something wrong. 1. Upon completing the creation of collections and accessing the created menu (see the image of the library created = collections) I believe that some 70% were duplicated, as if the embyserver itself created a collection (not all, but many) and open each of the copies, some contained the same number of films and others contained only part of the added films. 2. When I open any of the several movie menus I have, I see the upper submenu 'Collections' and when I open it, I understand that they refer only to the films in that open menu (dubbed films, as an example).about this, i believe it should be general, that is, no matter what movie menu i am on, the collections submenu should show a single collection, with all collections from my bibles. Therefore, I would like to know if there is a way to prevent emby from creating its own collections, as I prefer to always create manually and include new films when adding them to the library. I would also like to know if you can unify the collections of the various menus into a single collection, so that when you click on the submenu, the total collections will be displayed, regardless of anything else. I believe that this post does not need to send the log, because besides being somewhat annoying the automatic response always asked for the log, nothing would solve, because I don't think it's a bug. And I would also like to know how I can get a backup of the collections I create, so that I can recover everything with arts, films, nfo etc. I always save nfo and gear in the video folder. Thanks for your attention and for any tips. Edited April 27, 2020 by CarlosLima
Luke 42078 Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 if there is a way to prevent emby from creating its own collections Uninstall the autoboxsets plugin.
Guest Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 I don't have the mentioned plugin installed, or is it not on this screen that I confirm this?Obrigado
Guest Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 I found the plugin, but as you can see, it is suggesting installation, so I don't use it at all.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 Emby by itself does not have the ability to create Collection/Boxsets on its own. They can only be made manually. Now yes if you install the Auto Boxset plugin, it reads the items tmdbcollectionid returned from TMDB and is able to group the item together. But a log would show what plugins you have installed. Currently I don't believe collections are backed up, but reside in "\Emby-Server\programdata\data\collections".
Guest Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 Hi,Wouldn't my list of installed plugins be that of post number 3?Please indicate how I can obtain the requested list.Thank you
Luke 42078 Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 OK so you don't have it installed. We'd have to go over a specific example then. Thanks.
