Cover Art - If/And Rules?

I'm trying to mimic the movie box art in TV shows, I.e. selecting blu ray box for HD and DVD box for SD but it seems I can only customize an all or nothing. Like putting the blu ray icon on all TV shows.

Would it be possible to add a second layer to the item type so I could do is series and HD equals BD?

Hi.  TV shows don't have resolution because they can be made up of many different items of different types/resolutions.

 

The best I could offer you right now would be to physically separate the shows by the type of cover you want.  You could even do this within a defined library structure so you don't even have to change the library definition at all.

 

Then set up a profile for each sub-directory of shows by type with different cover styles.

Oh I see OK. Actually it might be easier to only specify certain shows because the only SD ones are shows that never went to BD like Angel. Thanks.

 

Edit: wait I cannot specify folders. It just sets as type: folder.

 

Edit 2: OK now I see I create a new profile for the DVDs.

You need to create a new CoverArt Profile.  These are defined by a folder path.  Anything within that path will use that profile.

Yeah I see, only thing is I have other services that depend on the location of the shows so I will have to create a new profile for each one. Would be cool if I could either just add folders to a profile or clone an existing profile onto a new one but I can work with this.

OK small issue. When choosing a show that other names contain applies to all. E.g. Dragon ball applies to GT, super, z.

The feature wasn't really anticipated to be used at an individual item level but all it does is compare the paths.  If the item begins with the path of the profile, it uses that profile.
