Music Feature Request - View All Music + Instant Mix Change

Hi,

A couple of feature requests that I'm sure others would appreciate to.

Firstly it's really annoying finding certain songs from an Artist if you don't remember the name of a song or which album it's in. In Google Music I quite often just search an Artist name then click view all songs which makes finding a song really easy. It would be great if you could add this feature to Emby.

Secondly I love the instant mix feature and use it alot on both Emby and Google Music, however on Emby when you start an instant mix on an Album or Single rather than the song itself it does one of the following:

  • If on a single, it won't start the instant mix using the song within that single. The whole point of picking a song to start an instant mix is to listen to that song first.
  • If on an album ideally it should pick a song within that album if there are multiple songs for the first song in the instant mix.

Would like to get your thoughts on these.

Thanks!

Hi, it does actually. If you start instant mix on a song, the instant mix will start with the song first.

But if you start from album or artist, then it's randomized. Does this answer your question?

If the song is part of a single i.e. no other songs in the 'album' because it's a single then the instant mix doesn't play that song first. You have to click into the song view to get it to play first. It's slightly annoying.

Also please could you comment on whether you can add the 'all songs' view when looking at an artist.

Yes i understand. It's just a corner case that hasn't been looked at but it's something we can look at in the future.

And yes, songs directly underneath the artist can be added. thanks.
