Install on fire TV without amazon account

I am trying to install emby on an fire tv (toshiba).  I am giving this to my 75 year old brother who is in the midst of Alzheimers.  I don't want to put my amazon account on there, no telling what he would purchase.  How can I install emby without the account active?

Will the Fire TV even operate if not logged into an Amazon account?  I'm honestly not sure but the above is worth a try.
