negativzeroe 80 Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 See screenshots, I've looked through library settings and metadata settings. I just want the ability to remove the word Special from the title. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk
Luke 42081 Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 There's currently no option for this. What you're saying makes sense when you're looking at all specials though. 1

Luke 42081 Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 I don't think it needs to be an option, I think we can just remove it from the specials list. 1

I guess if someone wants it back you can revisit is the plan? I can't imagine it being very desirable though. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk
Luke 42081 Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 There's no need to have them all prefixed with Special. It's only really valuable when the special is embedded into a regular season.
negativzeroe 80 Posted April 18, 2020 Author Posted April 18, 2020 Oh I see where you are coming from now. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk
Happy2Play 9783 Posted May 16, 2020 Posted May 16, 2020 (edited) @@Luke won't this create confusion? beta server To me they should display that way within the Specials folder, but need to reflect special within a Season listing. Edited May 16, 2020 by Happy2Play
whiteowl3 2 Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 for what it's worth, I would love to see the solution Happy mentioned. There is a particularly obnoxious looking example here, https://www.thetvdb.com/series/guyver-the-bioboosted-armor where the original 1989 OVA is listed as as S0/Specials for tvdb reasons that elude me, and the 2005 series proper is listed as S01. This is all fine and good with a little renumbering, but within the S0/Specials folder, properly retitled "1989 OVA Episodes," the presence of the "Special" prefix is not only unattractive, but misleading. perhaps this is an issue with the tvdb and not with emby. Would more use cases be covered if you append "Special" only to S0 episodes where they are being linked into viewing order, and not from within the Specials directory itself? Or, does the TVDB metadata simply need to be corrected to properly reflect the distinction between "The Guyver: Bioboosted Armor" and "Guyver: The Bioboosted Armor" (these may collide once they are sanitized though so I'm not sure that's even possible. maybe somebody who knows more about the TVDB would care to explain this to me)
Happy2Play 9783 Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 I would assume different coding would be needed for the different locations as right now it false under one translation string in your language json. "ValueSpecialEpisodeName": "Special - {0}", \system\dashboard-ui\bower_components\emby-webcomponents\strings in 4.4.3.0 \system\dashboard-ui\modules\common\strings in 4.5.x.x
