RDSII64 4 Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 (edited) Now that I have my emby server set up for secure remote connections, I have another question. My new server box was delivered today. Once I have the hardware to go in it, it will be my dedicated media server. This will leave my current box as my daily driver. My question is about the Certificate I need for secure remote connections. Is it tied to my current hardware? If I put my media server on new ( read different) hardware, will I need a new certificate? If it matters, I'm using cloud flare. Edited April 16, 2020 by RDSII64
rechigo 364 Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 (edited) You don't need to get a new cert as long as you still have the PKCS12 file and certificate password (if applicable). SSL certificates are not tied to hardware Sent from my Galaxy S10 Edited April 16, 2020 by rechigo
