superman626 0 Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Hello, Can someone please assist with my issue. Whenever I reboot my xTeVe server which is running on Windows OS the IP Address changes in xTeVe. How can I make that xTeVe IP address to stay the same? And when it does change I have to update my EPG XML and my IP DVR to Emby. Please advise. Thank You,
Spaceboy 2573 Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 You need to assign a static mapping for your xteve server on your router so that it gets the same up address every time it boots up. You will do this by specifying the MAC address of the pc and a required IP address in the router
maegibbons 1287 Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 It will be called a DHCP reservation. krs Mark A 'like' is always appreciated!

BAlGaInTl 288 Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 (edited) I've had something like this happen before when I try to reserve an address that's already in use by a device. Some routers are better about it than others, but you often don't even get a warning. Is it working for your iPad? ETA: Also... why do you need a static IP for an iPad? Just curious.
