Mixed content libraries make it more difficult for the server to detect the content type. If you're going to do that, then it's extremely important that you follow our TV naming guide:

The mixed library type of combination movie/tvshow library type IMHO is best used for specific Libraries such as Documentaries. It's not uncommon to see one metadata source list a 2 or 3 part documentary as a movie while another provider will list it as a show with 2 or 3 episodes.

Example: Instead of having your documentaries split between your movies and show libraries you can have a separate library just for documentary use, using the mixed type which can create a bit of a richer experience as all documentaries can be together regardless of the base type (movie/show).

I was having the same problem. I had to fill in the original title field in the Metadata information. Works fine when I do that.
