For some reason today my server has gone down , On the web interface at home all is updated and working ,Ports are open no issues there . When i go to re link my Android tv it says sign in with connect (which i have done) written down the pin and succesfully confirmed it . My TV cannot see my server nor will it let me add it in manually Any help appreciated Thanks Craig
ebr 16187 Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 Hi. Is this a remote connection? Does the server show the proper IP addresses on the dashboard page? Can you tell us where in the troubleshooter it fails?
Jabba468 0 Posted April 18, 2020 Author Posted April 18, 2020 Hi ebr thank you for the quick reply ,Sorry about the delay crazy things going on in theworld , Internally all is ok , but when i try external it fails , i have checked to see that the port is open all ok
Jabba468 0 Posted April 18, 2020 Author Posted April 18, 2020 I have sort of fixed it , The external IP address show in emby is wrong , Also i can connect externally from my laptopbut its anissue with the android for tv app, It finds server but gets stuck on the server unavailable (wake) etc screen?

Jabba468 0 Posted April 18, 2020 Author Posted April 18, 2020 for some reason on the dashboard it kept comming up with the wrong external ip address , i found the right one manually, Now on my Android TV i can get the pin to work to get to the ok button by pushing the back arrow when cancel is highlighted. Now it see my server ok but is stuck on the server unavailable on my tv yet from my laptop it works ok ,very weird

Jabba468 0 Posted April 18, 2020 Author Posted April 18, 2020 I do use a vpn but havent for a little while , As i said from my laptop it works fine , Its the Android TVapp from what i can work out . The server is there but keeps asking me if i want to wake the server
Luke 42083 Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 Check the addresses that are displayed on the front page of your emby server dashboard. this is what the apps will attempt to use. if the remote address is incorrect due to the vpn, you can always customize it under server network settings.
