Weird Sound Issue with emby server 4.4.2

Recommended Posts

When I log into emby server where the Server Software is installed at on my main HTPC and I pull up the Dashboard, Windows 7 starts to make this sound every couple of seconds. The sound is like a USB device being disconnected. If I closeout the Dashboard, the weird sound issue goes away.

Anyone else having this issue? Or have any suggestions on how to eliminate it?

I am always use to having the Dashboard open in the background so I can keep tabs on things.

Thanks,

Hi, is there a specific action that it happens with?

Nope - I get that sound as soon as the Dashboard comes up. Whether that is opening the dashboard from the start menu or remote logging into it through the web app.

Sound is from a USB device being removed. This only happens with this software running, nothing else. I also don't have an USB devices plugged in to this computer.

Did you enable TV display mode in the web app?

Does it happen without any interaction?

Correct - When I pull up the emby Dashboard is when the USB disconnecting sound happens every couple of seconds. As soon as I close out the Dashboard, the sound stops.

Ok, @@cayars can jump on a teamviewer with you and see if he can observe it. Beyond that I really have no idea at this point.
