Dalks 0 Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 Hi all, I'm new to the forums but not new to Emby. I love Emby and like most of you have Emby Premiere. I have never had any issues with Emby until now. Within the last week or so Emby has decided that it doesn't want to connect to anything outside of my network. It won't install new plugin updates (I can't even access the plugins page), it won't download metadata/poosters, it won't even let me add anyone else to my server and everyone who was using it previously can't connect unless they were using Emby Connect. I'm 99% sure that this is some sort of closed port or firewall issue but I've port forwarded my ports 3 times over and still no results. I am wondering if there is a specific way that I can test to see what is specifically blocking the server's access to the internet and how I can fix it. As far as I can see in task manager there aren't any programs blocking internet access to Emby. I'll attach logs and images, any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you! Luke 42086 Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 Hi there, your outgoing requests are timing out and failing. This usually means something in your environment is blocking the outbound connection, for example firewall, security software or vpn. Can you look into this?
Dalks 0 Posted April 13, 2020 Author Posted April 13, 2020 I resolved this issue temporarily by switching the operating ports of the server from 8096 to another port that I had open (25567). It appears that my port isn't open on 8096, but I know I've port forwarded it 3 times at least. This seems to be an issue with my firewall/router, it appears that it isn't the fault of Emby itself. Thank you.
