Jmarvelous 0 Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 Hello, Not sure how to explain this clearly as I can't really narrow down what might be causing this... but emby app will stop playing media and lose connection to the server and will not reconnect unless i go restart the app on windows. it appears that the server is still running according to windows, but trying to visit the localhost site brings up "this site can't be reached". i am not sure what is causing the server to "shut down" but still be running according to windows. I have attached 3 of the most recent log files, if any further information is required please let me know. embyserver.txt embyserver-63722315367.txt hardware_detection-63722315378.txt
Luke 42080 Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 Hi, can you please go over a specific example of a scenario? What emby app are you playing with?
Jmarvelous 0 Posted April 13, 2020 Author Posted April 13, 2020 Hi, can you please go over a specific example of a scenario? What emby app are you playing with? Ok an example would be that most of the time,at least once a day, I'll try to load the emby app on my LG smart TV and be met with the select server screen. I select my server and get the spinning wheel and shortly after it says it cannot connect to the server. I go to my server, exit the emby server via system trayand then relaunch it and usually within 30 seconds I can connect. The LG TV app is version 1.0.24
Luke 42080 Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 As a test, can you try removing the Addic7ed plugin, then restart the server and see if that helps? Thanks.
Jmarvelous 0 Posted April 13, 2020 Author Posted April 13, 2020 I will try that and see what happens. Thank you
Jmarvelous 0 Posted April 13, 2020 Author Posted April 13, 2020 So today the server had to be restarted in order to connect to it after uninstalling the plug-in and restarting it.
Jmarvelous 0 Posted April 14, 2020 Author Posted April 14, 2020 Alright, i have attached 2 server logs. 1 is from just before noon and 2 i believe is the log from the current instance. and also hardware detection, not sure if that is relevant. embyserver1.txt embyserver2.txt hardware_detection-63722400740.txt

Jmarvelous 0 Posted April 17, 2020 Author Posted April 17, 2020 Is embyserver.exe still running when this happens? Hi any chance you were able to go through these?
Jmarvelous 0 Posted May 4, 2020 Author Posted May 4, 2020 Did a fresh install and Emby worked problem free for about a week. It is now doing the same thing as previous. This just happened DURING playback now which hasn't happened before that we noticed. Here is the windows event error: Application: EmbyServer.exe CoreCLR Version: 4.700.20.11803 .NET Core Version: 3.1.3 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. Exception Info: System.Net.Sockets.SocketException (10054): An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.BeginReceive(Byte[] buffer, Int32 offset, Int32 size, SocketFlags socketFlags, AsyncCallback callback, Object state) at SocketHttpListener.SocketStream.BeginRead(Byte[] buffer, Int32 offset, Int32 count, AsyncCallback callback, Object state) at SocketHttpListener.Net.HttpConnection.OnReadInternal(IAsyncResult ares) at System.Net.LazyAsyncResult.Complete(IntPtr userToken) at System.Threading.ExecutionContext.RunInternal(ExecutionContext executionContext, ContextCallback callback, Object state) --- End of stack trace from previous location where exception was thrown --- at System.Net.ContextAwareResult.Complete(IntPtr userToken) at System.Net.Sockets.BaseOverlappedAsyncResult.CompletionPortCallback(UInt32 errorCode, UInt32 numBytes, NativeOverlapped* nativeOverlapped) at System.Threading._IOCompletionCallback.PerformIOCompletionCallback(UInt32 errorCode, UInt32 numBytes, NativeOverlapped* pNativeOverlapped) It's been about 3 weeks since i have posted about this. Hoping for something soon before switching services. embyserver.txt
Luke 42080 Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 @Jmarvelous are you still running into this? Have you updated to Emby Server 4.4.3?
