Finding episodes but not putting them in a series.

I am having a problem where emby will identify episodes but not put them in a season. If you search for them you can find them. I have tried doing a refresh missing metadata on the library but that didn't resolve it. They don't show up in the missing metadata view.

screenshot of parent directory of the example series would help

what is the library type for the library containing the series?

what metadata downloaders do you have enabled for that library?

And attach the images here - see "more reply options" please

refresh - replace all - but just on the sample series for now

I have run the refresh all on the race across the world series but it didn't seem to do anything. I have attached the log.

ok - log shows emby seeing the series and episodes with correct providerids and creating virtual episodes for upcoming episodes

So what are the paths to your libraries - do any overlap

your tv folder appears to be ../tv/tv...

you have not go any libraries pointing to any part of another library? - as nested library folders are not supported

I thought i disabled virtual episodes a few days ago as it was taking ages to scan?

Some library paths end up being /tv/tv like this https://bit.ly/3b44lLY

No overlapping libraries in tv but there was one in the movies library that i have fixed.

I have just noticed that my phone is logged into my test account. One Person.

so having the movies folder as a sub folder is your issue

now its removed then things should return to normal after a full library scan

those virtual episodes are for Upcoming in tv library - not missing episodes

the movies folder wasn't a sub folder in the tv library? I also haven't updated the libraries for a while and it has just started doing this in the last few days?

When scanning libraries does it check for unmatched metadata?

what do you mean by unmatched

what do you mean by unmatched

Content which emby hasn't downloaded any metadata for and the episodes that it hasnt put into series.

would need to do a refresh for that to be sure to get all the info

scan does pickup new stuff added as in items as thats what its looking for

if the refresh after the lib scan finishes (wait for it to finish) does not work

try removing the series completely from emby - do another library scan - then add it back so it detects it again as "new"

how many emby libraries have you created, and what folders have you added to each one?
