darkassassin07 652 Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 (edited) When I try to play trailers via the trailer button on the media info page I almost always get a never ending loading wheel. Tested on emby for android, chrome android with/without 'request desktop site', and xbox one. All fail to play trailers most of the time. I get better luck with chrome on win 10, it's played everything I've tried, but I rarely use that client. Then, I keep finding media in the 'more like this' sections that isn't available through my server. Clicking on those items brings you to a media info page, but there's little indication its just a trailer and not the actual media. Not what I'd like. Finally, in the 3 years I've run my server I've never really watched trailers nor have my users. It's just been an unnecessary component taking up screen space for no good reason. So I uninstalled the trailer plugin. The trailers library is gone as expected, but for some reason most media items still have a trailer button on the media info screen... (still as functional as described above) Can these be removed? Edited April 12, 2020 by darkassassin07
Happy2Play 9783 Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 You would have to delete the YouTube urls gotten from TMDB for every item. But all that info has already be imported into the database so either a manual database edit or library rebuild. But if you do not save metadata with media you would have to disable the TMDB provider as there is no option to selectively only get said fields.
darkassassin07 652 Posted April 12, 2020 Author Posted April 12, 2020 Looks like trailers failing to play on chrome mobile was my own fault. Had a few things the content security policy was blocking when going through my proxy. @@pir8radio this is what I've ended up with: thoughts? add_header Content-Security-Policy "default-src 'none'; child-src 'self'; font-src 'self' https://fonts.gstatic.com data:; connect-src 'self' wss: ws: https://mb3admin.com https://github.com/MediaBrowser/; media-src 'self' blob: data: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/; manifest-src 'self'; base-uri 'none' https://emby.mydomain.com; form-action 'self'; frame-ancestors 'self'; object-src 'none'; worker-src 'self' blob:; script-src 'self' https://www.gstatic.com ; img-src data: https: http: ; style-src 'unsafe-inline' 'self' https://fonts.googleapis.com; script-src-elem https://www.youtube.com/iframe_api https://s.ytimg.com https://www.gstatic.com 'self' ; frame-src https://www.youtube.com 'self' ; report-uri /csp-hotline.php" always; Had to add script-src-elem and frame-src I can live with the buttons there I guess, it was mainly items in 'more like this' that annoyed me. Does anyone else have issues playing trailers on emby for android or xbox one?
Happy2Play 9783 Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 Sounds like you are referring to the "Enable external content in suggestions" setting. Dashboard-Library Advanced tab Enable external content in suggestions Allow internet trailers and live tv programs to be included within suggested content. 1
