rooser11 8 Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 Hi - I understand that Emby moved to adding multiple folders under one category (e.g., Movies / TV Shows). One problem with this approach is that I cannot set different metadata languages for different folders with the same content type. For example, I have a folder with movies that I want to scan in English and have another folder with movies that I prefer to be scanned in Japanese, for example. Previously, I could add different libraries with different metadata preferences and then merge them under the Display or Home menu. Since Emby team scrapped that merging option, I have not found a way to clean up the Home menu. Right now, I have two different sets of Movies with different metadata preference and two different sets of TV as well. Any thoughts?
Luke 42086 Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 Hi, right we don't currently support this type of thing. It's possible for the future though.

Thanks, hopefully a way to merge libraries comes back maybe even as how the old version worked. I see no need to deprecate the old function if it did not cause problems. Movies (English) + Movies (Foreign) as one Movies section in the home would be great for those who use different meta scanning languages. Thank you.

Half my library is in french (in separated folders) and I would love Emby to have that feature!
