swampy451 0 Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 Hi Guys I am new to Emby and have recently setup embyserver-win-x64-4.4.2.0 on a Windows 10 machine. Everything worked as expected until I needed to restart the PC. Now the server seems to start and the Emby icon appears in the icon tray, but Chrome then opens to the Welcome to Emby screen as if it requires the entire setup process again. If I click on the Restart Emby Server option same thing. Can't figure out what is the problem Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Happy2Play 9784 Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 Sounds similar to this topic. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/79806-new-install-wizard-starting-after-update/
swampy451 0 Posted April 11, 2020 Author Posted April 11, 2020 Thanks for the quick response. I have read through that thread and my issue seems different. This is my first install of Emby not a new version. It was running fine with access through apps internal and external until a simple reboot of the machine it is running on. Just looking through the log files and I can see an error "2020-04-11 11:42:39.614 Error PortMapper: Error creating port map" Not sure if this helps.

If you do not use uPNP "automatic port mapping" you should disable this feature. Personally I disable upnp and do all port forwarding manually. If the wizard is appearing every time you enter "ip:port" into browser, something has happened to your installation. If you step through the wizard again does the same thing happen? Luke 42085 Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 This might be different from that other topic since you mentioned it happened after restarting the PC. Are you logged in with the same Windows user that installed the server?
swampy451 0 Posted April 11, 2020 Author Posted April 11, 2020 Same user login. I am the only user on the PC. Just going through the setup wizard now to see if that solves the problem.
swampy451 0 Posted April 11, 2020 Author Posted April 11, 2020 So I went through the whole setup wizard again, added librarys, users etc and it seems to be okay now. Time will tell. Thanks again for the help.
