Question on Collections setup

Have a quick question regarding Collections.  I have a Collection of Charlie Chan movies and when Emby scrapes them, it categorizes them by the 3 actors that played the part and subsequently places them in 3 different collections by the actor.  I do not want it this way, but rather have all the movies in one collection.  When I remove the movies from the 3 categories, and delete the collections by actor, I'm guessing Emby scans the folders and re-adds those 3 collections back.  

 

Is there any way to stop this from happening?

Sounds like you have Autoboxset plugin and it will group Collections based on the tmbdbcollectionid in the metadata downloaded for each item.

 

Emby does not honor folder based collections at all and ignores the nested folder structure to get to each item.  For say actor based collections they would have to be manually made.

 

You would have to not use the plugin or remove the collectionid from each item and lock the metadata, then delete the Emby created collections.
