All titles - tv/movies now displaying in default vs saved sort title

I was just wondering why the saved sort order is now back to default alphabetical?  It cleared out all sort order on all media. How do I get my sort order back without spending days manually doing so?

Was this due to the update?  I see that is lists independently each movie/tv folder now where as the old way displaying all at once (much preferred for sorting).

Thanks

For one I some how placed this in the android section to which its supposed to be windows related.  My bad.

So in the previous version all the movies were listed in the "metadata" section under one folder "movies" and it displayed all the movies/tv series grouped togeather instead of under sub folders..  In this version its listed as "movies" with each sub folder "HD" "SD" "UHD" etc. is listed and the sort order blank instead of using the previous data and will not accept back up data.

All of my "sort title" has been wiped clean and has to be re-entered.  I used a back up that had everything sorted and it did not work and still everything has to be re "sorted" manually.  Everything is in alphabetical order and not the "sort" order.  Its a major ordeal for me to have to go in and manually sort when the BU should replace that "sort" data.

Am I missing something or are we stuck, manually resorting?

Thanks

Do you have local nfo files?

Sorry i do not.  I went ahead and manually did it and made a back up.  This happened last year when the major update went out as well.  So it appears this is only during major roll outs, at least for me.

Sorry if you do not write nfo files with media the information only reside in the database and when Emby does a update that causes issues like know, the item is removed and readded to the database causing all customization to be lost do to new database item id, in this specific scenario.  So a major CON when you do not save with media.

Ok that makes sense.  So I will let emby create the nfo files then.

Thanks!
