DBarras 0 Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 (edited) To preface this, I currently have 22 devices connected, I bought a Lifetime 45 devices/month membership, but my dialog reads: You have a Lifetime 45 (one-tim Emby Premiere plan, but you are over your device limit! There is a missing 'e' on one-time... but, apart from that small issue, how do I reset my devices so that it stops showing this message? There's also a missing ')' at the end of that sentence. ebr 16193 Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 Hi. You cannot reset the devices. They automatically roll off after about a week. More information in the link below. BTW - you are well beyond your 45 limit. Looks like maybe you downgraded from a larger plan? Is there a limit to Emby Premiere
DBarras 0 Posted April 6, 2020 Author Posted April 6, 2020 (edited) Again, as I said, I only had 22 devices connected as I removed a lot of users. "About a week?" Is it 5 days, 7 days? How am I over my limit? If I'm paying for a service, I should be able to remove devices that I do not use, or remove users (and their devices) that are no longer permitted to use my server. Edit: I read your link, and I still do not believe this is an acceptable way to handle connected devices. You do not have to expose the API or how it works, simply have a "reset devices" button; or, better yet, when i remove a user, remove those devices connected with that user. ebr 16193 Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 or how it works, simply have a "reset devices" button; If we did that there wouldn't really be much point in having a limit, would there ? You could just constantly re-set them. The system is designed for family use but we do provide plans for those that use it for very extended families and/or friends. Our pricing is designed around total devices as opposed to concurrent devices so that is why it works the way it does. If we designed it around concurrent, then the limits would be much lower.
