How to use external player for emby on Sony A9G?

Hi, everyone

 

I'm trying to use the original Sony player, "Media Player", but it doesn't work somehow. In the settings in my emby app, I have chosen "Use External Player for Videos" and "Pass Direct Path". However, when I played the video, it turned out "No player" as showed in the picture. Does it mean the Sony original "Media Player" cannot play videos directly in the emby sever? If so, what else external players I can try?

BTW, the reason I use the external player is the CPU of my NAS is really poor and it may not handle my 4K videos.

Hi, mx player and vlc are two popular options.

I'm pretty sure that the internal media player apps on these TVs are not Android apps so they are not exposed to the Android system.

 

Is this a 4K TV?
