Luke 42078 Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Yes, external subtitles will always be more efficient. Our subtitle download features can help you acquire them.
judgey 13 Posted April 4, 2020 Author Posted April 4, 2020 Cool thanks, so is there a way to make emby download subtitles in one go? Its really only a few programs, just wondering can you force sub downloads.
Luke 42078 Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Have you explored our subtitle download features? https://support.emby.media/support/solutions/articles/44001848854-automatic-subtitle-downloads

Luke 42078 Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Oh wait, I looked again at your screenshot. Your screenshot is from the series folder. Try using the 3-dot menu on individual videos, such as episodes or movies.

Luke 42078 Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 Ok, Xvid/divx is always tricky. I imagine it's only happening with those, right?
judgey 13 Posted April 5, 2020 Author Posted April 5, 2020 Yep seems to be just them, the quality is really poor when it's being transcoded... Are there any settings for this type of issue.
Luke 42078 Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 You customized server transcoding settings. Whenever you run into something like this, the first thing you should try is resetting those back to default: Warning EncoderParametersH264LibX.ConstantRateFactor: Original: 23 Actual: 33 Warning EncoderParametersH264LibX.Preset: Original: veryfast Actual: fast
