mcoyle76 2 Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 I noticed at times, if I click on an album title from the now play song, and then click on the album cover at the bottom left corner of the player that the now playing song and playlist are blank, and I just get the backdrop, logo, and back button.
Luke 42085 Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 Hi, yes I see this once in a while and I'm still trying to chase down the reason for it. Thanks for reporting. 1
mcoyle76 2 Posted April 1, 2020 Author Posted April 1, 2020 Some of the artists name metadata will show up under a song name when it is filled in, and most of the songs that have this filled in they do not show up under the song name?
Luke 42085 Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 It's only when the track artist differs from the album that it's necessary to show that.
mcoyle76 2 Posted April 1, 2020 Author Posted April 1, 2020 @@Luke are you talking about it should show up if the Artists and the Album Artists have two different names? As they are the same here.
mcoyle76 2 Posted April 1, 2020 Author Posted April 1, 2020 @@cayars OK, sorry I guess I am kind of confused, are you talking the folder where the music is stored? Is it in the screenshot here, or am I looking in the wrong place?
mcoyle76 2 Posted April 1, 2020 Author Posted April 1, 2020 I get if the Album Artists name is different than the Artist name then it shows up as that's what happens in my various artists albums, but if everything matches, it shouldn't display the artist name under the songs.
Carlo 4561 Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 They are the same name above so it shouldn't be necessary to show.
mcoyle76 2 Posted April 1, 2020 Author Posted April 1, 2020 There must be something Emby thinks is spelled wrong in the field, I copied and pasted the artist name into the artist field, and the artist name under the song is gone.
mcoyle76 2 Posted April 1, 2020 Author Posted April 1, 2020 @@Luke and @@cayars thanks for your quick responses as I get use to Emby and how it works, sometimes I get a little lost and confused. Keep it up! 1
