What do you mean by duplicate?  What are you trying to do?

Setup a second emby instance.

Do you mean on a 2nd computer or do you mean run two versions of Emby on the same computer?

What is it you are trying to accomplish?

I have the same question.

The issue is I have made a copy of the server folder, moved it to another computer and started it. However it overwrites the the original emby connect server in users emby connect list rather than add to it. Even after renaming the the new server to something else.

I am guessing there is a unique identifier stores somewhere that emby connect is looking for and having it on both server is causing confusion. Would love any assistance that can be offered here.

Shut down the new server.

Maneuver to the Emby folder on your computer and look for mb.lic which will be in the programdata/config folder.

Delete mb.lic

Restart server

You have to delete the device.txt from the Emby-Server/programdata/data folder, as that is the ServerID.

@@cayars what it the wc.lic?  None of my systems have this, only a mb.lic which is your premiere key.

But two servers on same machine require different port number.  Sure different machines can use same port number, you can not have Remote access when they have the same port number.

Doh, no idea how I typed that.  I edit it.

mb.lic file is what holds that info.
