Hi All

When I add new Movies to my library I have set Emby to:

And the filter is set correctly

And checking the meta data of the movie is for today!

But No matter what I do I can't get the new movies to show first?

What am I doing wrong? this used to work fine?

UPDATE I just noticed that on the main page of the movie it says:

post-427753-0-08250700-1585661914_thumb.jpg

So where does this date come from?

That is not today...

Does the item have an NFO file with it?  Any data in an NFO file will take priority.

Yes and the nfo is created by Emby!

But why is Emby creating a date in the past?

I checked the lof files on Emby and the date is correct?

This is so strange....

UPDATE: Emby takes the creation of the file and not the date I am adding the file or the date of the NFO creation....?

Ok found the problem but cant really fix it?

I have changed the setting under advanced Library to: "Use data scanned into Library"

I then deleted the NFO files and set EMBY to rescan the files

It then recreated the NFO but with the date for when the file was created and not the current date?

Ok deleted all the NFO files and removed all the movies and did a scan

Then added them back and did a new scan....

Yes changing that setting only applies to new content added going forward. Thanks.
