crusher11 1101 Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 (edited) What in the world is going on here? Not sure which transcode log it is. User reports being unable to play the item. embyserver.txt ffmpeg-transcode-ff1ec58e-f8b3-44ab-9a5e-f3855a470911_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-e0b90149-b095-417a-95a5-924c59efaef9_1.txt Edited March 30, 2020 by crusher11
Luke 42077 Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 As a test, does it occur if you disable hardware transcoding on the server?
crusher11 1101 Posted March 31, 2020 Author Posted March 31, 2020 No playback with hardware transcoding disabled. It's just a black screen with the playback OSD and the playback counter stuck at 0:0. It's a DVD source. Blu-ray sources apparently work fine (Aliens, Terminator), as do 4K sources. User seems to be testing in Safari on a tablet or phone now, so it's not an Apple TV issue, although on the dashboard playback appears to be normal rather than the weird negative number from before. I've included a few logs, not sure what they are as the user is still testing things as I type. There should be at least one successful and one unsuccessful playback though. embyserver.txt ffmpeg-transcode-c079f3b6-2e79-4889-8bdb-75733574437b_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-498a42ae-f6f5-42a1-9819-967259b5d9e2_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-3fbdd517-3371-4a07-bf7a-b9d4cc1fce19_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-fe23a29d-d240-4269-90d6-23589715d540_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-e9a48cbe-8bab-4bfe-a24c-246f8087bdb7_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-2f0ee83c-b672-44ed-a620-763f901fd868_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-b8293d69-f6ec-4e69-85c4-76d33206a847_1.txt

I didn't go through every single log, but in the the first one it doesn't appear you actually disabled it.
crusher11 1101 Posted March 31, 2020 Author Posted March 31, 2020 Odd. I was sure I had, but it's definitely still enabled.
