Video Control Alignment

Is there a way to move the controls of a playing video from the left edge to the center?  Are they in a container, or at they part of app that can not be touched?

I was messing with it earlier, but that looks nothing like what I ended up with.  Now to figure out why that works!

Only issues will be on small screens.  I assume that is why they are on the left.
