Alpha list with a non-english character at start

For example, the movie Aeon Flux - the actual title starts with a character that's a merge of A and E (I dunno the official name of it.)

 

Emby shows the "AE" in the list of alpha characters just after "A" and before "B" when listing movies.  It is the only title that appears in that list when you click on it.

 

Unfortunately it also appears on every other alphabetical list.

 

For instance, here's what you see when you click "K" in the list of movies.  See that K is highlighted and all the other titles start with K.

 

 

And here's what the list of movies starting with "L" looks like:

There are a lot of sorting improvements in 4.4. Unfortunately though, some of them only apply to brand new server installations because they can't be safely applied to existing data without potentially causing problems.

Try to edit the metadata "sort title" to "Aeon Flux"

Yes there are quite a few topics for that specific movie and the issues it creates, and yes appling a Sort Title for the item should resolve all the issues. 

 

But all the improved SortName changes only apply to a new/clean install of 4.4 as Luke mentioned. 

 

I would have expected a Announcement/Blog by now, but assume there will only be one for the patch update.
