Bert 49 Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 On an extender, accidentally chose banners in the view. Now the ability to get into the configurator is gone. At top of menu next up button results in going to bottom of the list. Was able to change on PC by using mouse.
ebr 16178 Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 You lost me. The configurator doesn't deal with views at all...
Bert 49 Posted June 30, 2014 Author Posted June 30, 2014 Sorry, didn't mean configurator, meant menu with options and settings. In other words i cannot get to the view menu because moving focus up results in going to bottom.
buddyweiser 105 Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 I also had this issue with an extender. I found that when I adjusted the under/over scan values a bit too far, the top menu is inaccessible. Pushing up to access the top menu in MBC(User/configuration menu) only highlights the bottom menu(Movies, TV Shows, Games etc.) I found that if I highlighted something down there and pushed the right toggle on the xbox controller to the right(play now?) it would bring up a small menu, and if you scroll to the right of that and click on close, the cursor jumps to the user icon in the top right. From there u can access the configuration cog... Well that was extremely drawn out, but I don't know the shortcut to the configuration page from the xbox...
Bert 49 Posted July 1, 2014 Author Posted July 1, 2014 (edited) Well, I cannot screen shot an extender but actually can duplicate the behavior on the computer. Change the view to, poster, banners and then try to change the view WITHOUT using the mouse (as there is no mouse for an xbox). This site woudln't allow me to upload a bmp (screenshot) but there is one here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2933166/Windows%20Media%20Center%20712014%2072859%20AM.bmp I don't use banners (selected it on accident) but thought I would report it. ebr 16178 Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Ah, I see - thanks for the picture. Increasing the size of the banners would probably also solve the problem. It is going to be a size-related layout issue with WMC and I can't think of any way around it that doesn't compromise all other usage. 1
