emedia88 0 Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 Hope someone can help me. After the update to 4.4.0.40, my live tv (iptv subs) are no longer sorting by metadata like previous versions. So what I would do is edit my channels metadata with with (abc -> 007.abc, etc) a sequence number allowing them to sort in that order in my guide. I even tried making them favorites with this new version...but to no avail. Any idea why? It's never bee nan issue before.
LongMan 112 Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 Working fine here, but you can also use the 3-dot menu on a poster. The 3-dot menu does work so I have started correcting with it.
legallink 187 Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 Just wanted to say that the new version feels much quicker. Things are loading faster both locally and remote! Thanks @@Luke and @@ebr and the rest of the Emby team. 1
ray-finkle 10 Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 Agreed. Image loading loading seems to finally have picked up. Still a little slow when jumping around a large library but better than it was.
revengineer 142 Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 I found that when I schedule a series recording and immediate try to enter the settings by clicking settings, nothing happens. I can access the settings if I back out to the home screen first and then select Live TV -> Series and click on the show. Can you reproduce this?

I am looking into it. Thanks.

All my channels still have the same sort title as in the previous version of emby. 1
LongMan 112 Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 @@Luke, I just found what changed with the MetaData Manager and why it wasn't populated. I have a User that is only used for Admin purposes. With this account I don't watch or listen to anything, just admin stuff. Update library, correct metadata add users etc. To that end this user is not given access to any libraries. It made the interface cleaner as there was no library related pages when logged in with this user. With the 4.4.x.x update there is a change. The metadata manager is only populated with libraries to which the user has access. That is the reason mine was not populating since the Admin account did not have access to any libraries. Not sure how important it is to you. Just a FYI. I now know how to proceed. Cheers, LongMan
