Hello,

I have a movie that just refuse to be added to collection. I tried adding it directly from the collection, from the movie, from the xml file, nothing work. it still doesn't show in the collection. I tried deleting the movie, deleting the collection, making a custom collection, nothing work. And only one movie. Collections are normally created with AutoBoxset.

The collection is The Hobbit Collection, and the movie causing trouble is The Hobbit An Unexpected Journey

Emby server 4.3.1.0

Thank you!

Ok, so I found out in the Database under mediaitems, there's entry that don't even exist anymore. But when I try to delete them, I get a foreign key error :(

A sql guru would have to comment, but you have to look at the other tables that itemid is linked to.

Is it normal I have 2 boxset? I don't have 2 collection for the hobbit. I see that for a lot of boxset. There also line 5 and 12 that point to the same file, is that normal? I think my database is due for a lot of cleaning. It's been alive since media browser for windows era in W7... Is there a database cleanup tool for emby?

edit: Ive checked and hobbit boxset is only 1 hobbit movie without any image and the other one is the right collection. Thus it need to be removed too. Is there a place where I can see the database relations and schema so I can properly clean it?

THanks!

Are those obsolete entries from a long time ago?

Yes, at least a year

Ok i'm guessing this situation would not happen again with new files, although it's unfortunate that older ones do though.

I guess. But now how do I fix all of this mess? Movie that doesn't exist anymore, collection that don't exist and movie that refuse to be added to collection.

I don't have an immediate answer, but you could go nuclear, remove the movie library altogether, do a full scan, verify the entries are flushed out of the database, then add it back.

Tried that in the past. Aside from loosing all my playstate, it didn't work. It kept all the bad stuff.
