The plugin needs to be elevated from emby in windows, because netsh needs admin rights to make changes to the inbound table of the firewall.

I've tried making changes in a test console app to the firewall with Network operator status, but I wasn't able to get it working.

For me emby is proxied behind caddy server. Which might be a better situation then facing emby directly to the DNS. 

Perhaps I had better add a warning to the top of the plugin configuration explaining the possible issues with facing emby directly with elevated rights?

The good news is that embys cryptography for the login is good.

just a thought - but the fact you cant elevate the process to admin level - is actually good - as this would be a security feature of windows

to prevent rouge code doing stuff its not got access to etc
