kelly.clubb 8 Posted March 14, 2020 Posted March 14, 2020 So here's the problem I am having. I recently implemented an ip block (geoip) for any ips outside of the us/canada with my server. I can use my app on cellular and get on my account using android chrome or emby app. No one else seems to have any luck, they get emby but a blank screen. If they log into my local ip url and log in there, it works. All I can deduce is that there is a connection my server needs to a server that is outside the US or Canada. Can I get any help figuring out what country it's in so I can possibly white-list it. I've had a lot of brute force attacks to other parts of my network which required that to be added. Thanks in advance.
Luke 42080 Posted March 14, 2020 Posted March 14, 2020 Hi, what if you temporarily remove the geo blocking, then verify your users can login, and then once they do, try to determine their remote ip address from the logging information? Once you have that I would think you can adjust your blocking to allow their ip's.
