Programmable "Hot" Buttons for Home Screen

Hi all,

 

Forgive me if this idea has been posted before. I searched the forums but wasn't able to find anything like it.

 

I would love to see the ability to create "buttons" (maybe they're just cards that appear under the 'My Media' section) on the home screen that perform a specific Emby function. For example, there are some shows on my server that are just, well, like comfort food. It would be great if I could create a "The Office" button that shuffled the episodes and hit play with one click instead of having to navigate to TV shows, down to The Office in the show list, and then choose shuffle all on the context menu for the show. 

 

Basically I'd like to be able to create a button on the home screen that would perform the prescribed function.

 

I know there's a lot of possibility and as a result, a lot of complication in a request like this, but it could be reduced. Perhaps you could limit the number of functions (e.g. play, play: shuffled) and the number of options (by show, by movie, by genre, etc.).

 

At any rate, I think this would be a pretty cool addition.
