Yvese 2 Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 (edited) "Could not find a part of the path '\dashboard-ui\index.html'." Emby also seems to have deleted its shortcut randomly. This has happened twice now. I'm not sure what version I was on but I had it set to auto-update. I believe I was on the beta. Also for some reason I can't uninstall Emby. It says "An error occurred while trying to uninstall Emby Server. It may have already been uninstalled". I really don't want to reinstall it since I have a ton of settings and don't remember them. I also have a huge library so rescanning it would be a pain. I'm really not sure what happened. Lastly, I tried running the setup in hopes it would fix it by reinstalling the shortcut but after I see the setup window it disappears and nothing happens. Edited March 9, 2020 by Yvese

The address is http://localhost:8096/web/index.html?start=wizard#!/wizard/wizardstart.html.As for emby server version, it says 3.6 in the control panel uninstall menu.
Luke 42080 Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 3.6? that is a very old beta, not even a stable release. ouch. Ok well can you try installing the latest version on top of your existing version? I honestly don't know what to expect, sorry to say, given that it's an old beta. You may (or may not) have better luck starting with the 4.0.3 release first, running a full scan to update your database, and then updating to the latest. @@Happy2Play.

Also I swear I already had this installed but looking through my programs in the Control Panel it's not listed there. Weird.

My stable in on 4.3.1.0 but control panel programs and feature shows 3.4, but a new install on my test system shows 4.3.

I tried going back through the crash viewer and found where it started: I disabled it from auto starting with windows after that. What folders are in \Emby-Server folder? Have you tried getting the zip from github and extracting the system folder and replacing your current one? https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases/releases/

My shortcut deleted itself which is why I made this thread. Unfortunately I just nuked my entire emby installation and now can't get the setup to even load as seen by my above images. Both the beta and regular setup doesn't work
