Can't group multi-version movie from different folders

Sorry in advanced for the lengthy post, but I want to try to explain my problem in detail. I wasn't able to find a solution but maybe someone's knows what to look for.

Currently, I have all my movies in one folder and multi-version files following the naming convention; "movie (year)/movie (year) - version.mkv" This works so far. I get one entry in the library with a drop down box to select he version. However, my library is growing so I'd like to move the 4k videos to a newer (larger) drive. Before I did this, I wanted to test it out and see if it worked. So I put made a new folder "4k Movies" and added it to the same library as my original Movies folder. Then followed the same structure. So an example would be:

Movies/Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018)/Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) - 1080p.mkv

4k Movies/Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018)/Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) - 4k.mkv

This resulted in me having two entries in the library but I could easily combine them using the "group versions" function. So I tried a few more movies and here's where I ran into trouble. With a movie that has multiple versions AND two resolutions, I was unable to group them properly.

Movies/ALIEN (1979)/ALIEN (1979) - 1080p.mkv

4k Movies/ALIEN (1979)/ALIEN (1979) - 4k Director's Cut.mkv

4k Movies/ALIEN (1979)/ALIEN (1979) - 4k Theatrical.mkv

This resulted in two entries in the library just like before, with the 4k movie having both versions attached. But now when I try to group versions, It ends up moving one of the 4k versions over to the 1080 entry and leaving the other. So I'll select the ALIEN(4k Theatrical / 4k Director's Cut) and ALIEN(1080p) library entries, select group versions, and now I have ALIEN(4k Theatrical) and ALIEN(1080p / 4k Director's Cut). So I try again, select both entries and group. Then I have ALIEN(4k Director's Cut) and ALIEN(1080p / 4k Theatrical). It just keeps swapping one of the 4k versions to the 1080 entry but not combining all three.

Is there anyway around this? Am I doing something wrong with the naming or folder structures?

That plugin seemed to do the trick. Still not sure why the plugin is able to group the multi-version videos but Emby's built in function is not. But I'll just use this plugin until/if it gets fixed and the automation is a plus. Thanks.
