bnwbass 3 Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 Quick, ?, I read the collection wiki, but which attribute or metadata in the the folder triggers emby to identify the contents as a '"collection" when initially scanned. Thx Bw
d00zah 149 Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 Emby recognizes collections: - manually created by user/admin... 'Add to Collection' in '...' menu.. - added by the 'Auto Box Sets' plug-in based on 'TheMovieDB Collection' ID in metadata. Collection data is stored in: x:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\data\collections 2
Luke 42083 Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 There isn't a folder attribute. You can build collections using the emby web interface.
Happy2Play 9783 Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 Emby no longer honors the collection.xml in your nested folder structured collections (legacy collections). 1
Riggs 312 Posted March 24, 2020 Posted March 24, 2020 (edited) Any chance for a custom location (directory/path) for collection images? Edited April 1, 2020 by Handbrake 1
Luke 42083 Posted March 24, 2020 Posted March 24, 2020 Options are always possible for the future. Thanks.
EveMene 2 Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Any chance for a custom location (directory/path) for collection images? I would also like to see this. Also to take the folder.jpg file from the root folder of the collection for the collection image. Like for the poster.jpg |Bad Boys Collection -|folder.jpg -|Bad Boyz I --|Bad Boyz I.mkv -|Bad Boyz II --|Bad Boyz II.mkv

Same principle of one folder by movie, and, to not loose the naming convention and keep the movies folder structure Like this:
