Luke 42077 Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/790-how-to-report-a-problem/?view=getnewpost Thanks!
Sakashi 0 Posted March 3, 2020 Author Posted March 3, 2020 (edited) Added the logs now and a screenshot. Might be hard to see from the screen shot, but it wont start beyond that point, even on local network. Tested in Chrome and Edge, same error. But no error message. Other media starts as it should Edited March 3, 2020 by Sakashi
Sakashi 0 Posted March 3, 2020 Author Posted March 3, 2020 Tried again and generated the log. Transcoding issue? ffmpeg Log.txt
Sakashi 0 Posted March 6, 2020 Author Posted March 6, 2020 @@Luke Did the logs tell you anything here?
Sakashi 0 Posted March 9, 2020 Author Posted March 9, 2020 Did the logs miss anything? I have some trouble to see the reason why this won't start. Is it the file?
Luke 42077 Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 I've assigned it to one of our developers. We're looking into it. Thanks.
softworkz 5066 Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 The transcoding seems to run as expected.  Would you mind retrying with the 4.4 release which will be out shortly? Most likely it will be already fixed..
Sakashi 0 Posted March 17, 2020 Author Posted March 17, 2020 Updated to 4.4.0.27 version now. But still cannot play that one file. I can start the file on my phone tho, but not in chrome og edge.Â
Sakashi 0 Posted March 17, 2020 Author Posted March 17, 2020 Yes, just one thing I cannot play. One file And it works in Windows Media Player, through Emby on the phone app and the Windows 10 store app. But not the browserÂ
Solution Luke 42077 Posted March 17, 2020 Solution Posted March 17, 2020 Then why not just convert the file? our media conversion feature can help with this. 1
Sakashi 0 Posted March 20, 2020 Author Posted March 20, 2020 Converting the file to TV format worked =) But why did it have to be converted to work for the browser?
Luke 42077 Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 It's hard to say. If you can provide us with a copy of the original file we can test it out and get to the bottom of it.
Sakashi 0 Posted March 20, 2020 Author Posted March 20, 2020 Sadly, the file is gone. Recorded from DVR and deleted it after watching it. But good to know converting works wonder =) Thanks for the help
