Yul37 0 Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 (edited) Hi, I've recently upgraded to Premiere to be able to use hardware acceleration but I have issue with transcoding : The CPU is still used at 100%, whereas the GPU is used at 9% only. Is there something I could do to improve this and free some CPU ? Thank you. embyserver.txt Edited March 3, 2020 by Yul37

Luke 42082 Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 Hi, this is your entire logs folder. Can you please provide only the ones that were modified from the time that the problem was experienced? Thanks.
Yul37 0 Posted March 4, 2020 Author Posted March 4, 2020 Ok, here are the logs. I cleared previous logs, started emby server and played a video that needed transcoding. Hope this helps Thank you. embyserver-63718917804.txt hardware_detection-63718917748.txt ffmpeg-transcode-64ab9df7-cca1-4f80-aa14-277c1cf53f05_1.txt
Solution softworkz 5072 Posted March 7, 2020 Solution Posted March 7, 2020 @@Yul37 - The source video is 10bit which causes decoding and scaling to be done by the CPU. The upcoming 4.4 release will be able to do all of that using hw acceleration. 1
