Bobs604 0 Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 Hi there. Currently none of the users can log into my server for some reason. They can see it but when they try to click it, a "Connection Failure ; We're unable to connect to the selected server right now...." prompt. I have my ports for remote access enabled and open, but when I try to open the remote (wan) access from the dashboard, nothing loads except for a site can't reached page. Can someone help me out please as I'm currently lost at what to try and do next for a fix.
denz 501 Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 That is probable a firewall issue. Have you tested that you can internally connect to the emby server from a another machine inside your network. Does your isp assign you with a fixed ip or dhcp address. Try restarting the server and see is the WAN address the same.
Bobs604 0 Posted March 3, 2020 Author Posted March 3, 2020 Yes I can connect to my emby server on my local network no problem, and I also have my firewall turned off
denz 501 Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 So then it is not firewall but what about the ip address type this in search what is my ip and is it same as what is in emby

So you've done the port forwarding work on your router? if so, how are you trying to access the server remotely? If you are clicking the remote address link on the dashboard while on your LAN, that generally won't work since loopback needs to be enabled (and most likely is not). Try it from somewhere outside your LAN and report back.
