Kodi Library migration to Emby

Hello, 

 

I am trying to move a Kodi library to Emby but I cant find any way to import all the library items in Emby. more specific I cannot import the .actors folder. I searched for solutions in the forum but even if I tried using the people backup plugin I still get no results. I have a huge library organized with fanart and actor photos based on each movie or episode that cannot be migrated to Emby as it does not support all the Kodi nfo settings thumbs or folders. Every media tool available is based on Kodi's way of metadata except Emby. 

 

Please inform me if there is any way to achieve what I want.

Hi there, we do fully support kodi format metadata except for this one area. We put people images into a shared location rather than duplicating them with each movie and series.

@Luke Just to clarify, is there a process by which Emby will recognize an ".actors" folder within a movie directory and move the images within into the main Emby actor database (maybe during a 'scan libraries' task? Or does this only happen when new images are added to an actor? Or....

Hi, no, not at this time. That's a Kodi thing.
